Community Learning Academy maintains policies that support a safe, structured, and respectful learning environment. Please review our school policies and student policies below.

School Policies

Community Learning Academy is committed to maintaining a secure and supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Our school policies are designed to ensure consistency, fairness, and accountability across the academy.

Introduction & Purpose

These school policies apply to all students enrolled in Community Learning Academy, including High School, Credit Recovery, and GED programs. They ensure a safe, respectful, and academically rigorous learning environment. Enrollment signifies agreement to these policies.

Student Rights & Responsibilities

Right to a learning environment free from harassment and discrimination. Responsibility to respect peers, faculty, staff, and property. Responsibility to maintain academic integrity and meet deadlines. Obligation to comply with state and federal laws applicable to education.

Attendance & Participation

Students must attend scheduled classes and participate actively. Absences should be communicated with documentation when required. Excessive absences or lack of participation may result in probation or withdrawal.

Academic Integrity

Cheating, plagiarism, and misrepresentation of work are strictly prohibited. Violations may lead to failing grades, suspension, or dismissal.

Conduct & Behavior

Bullying, harassment, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Use of alcohol, tobacco, vaping, or illegal substances is prohibited. Respectful communication is required in all in-person and online interactions.

Technology Use

School technology and platforms must be used responsibly for academic purposes. Unauthorized access, hacking, or cyberbullying may lead to disciplinary action.

Grades & Graduation

Grading standards and requirements will be communicated in advance. Students must meet credit and performance requirements to graduate. Appeals may be made through formal procedures.

Privacy & Records

Community Learning Academy complies with FERPA. Student records are confidential and only shared with authorized parties under the law.

Withdrawal & Dismissal

Students may withdraw by submitting the Withdrawal Form and fulfilling financial and material obligations. The school may dismiss students for policy violations, nonpayment, or academic failure.

Financial Obligations

The $50 registration fee is non-refundable. Tuition obligations must be met according to the payment plan. Refunds, if applicable, will be prorated per school policy.

Safety & Health

Students must comply with safety, health, and emergency protocols. Immunizations and health documentation may be required.

Amendments

Community Learning Academy reserves the right to update policies at any time. Notice will be provided to students and guardians.
